Uncapped all-rounder Tom Abel out with an injury
During the first ball of his third over in the first match of the unofficial ODI series against Sri Lanka A, Abel, who was captaining Somerset, suffered a left hamstring strain and had to be carried off the field. He did not bowl his full overs nor did he come out to bat in the run chase. He later had a scan, which confirmed the injury, and he had to return home for recovery.
